EPIS Reading Group

The reading group explores the philosophical, psychological, and psychoanalytic literature pertaining to theories of mind and a general anthropological view of human beings that has come from Europe in the 19th, 20th, and 21st centuries.

We will read Schopenhauer, Nietzsche, Brentano, Husserl, Heidegger, and Freud to start. We will then cover some of the existential psychotherapists such as Binswanger, Laing, May, and Van Deurzen, as well as some of the postmodern Parisian philosophers, including Foucault and Derrida.

Interested parties of all ages and experience levels are welcome.
